3 · Concept

Do you know adventure? So, that's the spirit!

“The desire to venture into the creation of something that could be a direct part of your life was the first ingredient added to the formula that created this new concept.

To achieve the diversities between being relaxed observing harmonious forms and being the essence that moves the muscles and drives your instinct of freedom!

A tenuous line between the having and being able to: to have a favorite object of decoration and to able to make it your road’s companion.

The desire to lay on the couch just looking, or getting up from it, leave home and still being able to take us with you.”

4 · How everything started

Part of your life!

The desire to venture into the creation of something that could be a direct part of your life was the first ingredient added to the formula that created this new concept.

“I have bike's hoarding as a hobby and the love from working with wood. So I had decided to bring together these two facts that are part of my life and then create this piece. When I started the development of the part, I had in mind the impact that it would cause in the lives of our customers. What provided the idea of making the bike and made it become a project was the possibility to be able to get into our costumer's life, even outdoors.”

To achieve the diversities between being relaxed observing harmonious forms and being the essence that moves the muscles and drives your instincts of freedom!

The author of the work is Louro Parma Junior and he tells that the traces were based on organic forms and uniformed finishing, with every detail designed to adapt ergonomically to its use, prioritizing its comfort. It's clear that high quality materials could not be missed, considering the know-how of Parma's furniture manufacturing, which works with wood for over 50 years!

A tenuous line between having and being able to: To have a favorite object of decoration and to able to make it your road's companion.

With all the beauty that its forms had been given, it becomes the number one candidate to be the most featured decorative object and be most favorite within the house, despite being a wonderful decorative object, it does not lack anything in its functionality, practicality and comfort categories.

The desire to lay on the couch just looking, or getting up from it, leave home and still being able to take us with you.

For us, having our brand present in your leisure moments is a great satisfaction, it's a true sense of a job well done.
It's a pleasure, we are the Parma Wood Bike!

How good it is

The PWB Freedom is exclusively handmade in solid wood from the species Teak Asian (Tectona grandis), which is used in the nautical sector for the manufacture of furniture and decks of yachts and sailboats. Also used in manufacturing for external areas furniture. The Teak Asian is a lightweight, durable and stable wood.

In the making, we use the bonding process to compensate the wood fibers, in order to give a better resistance to the parts. Fittings and joints were sized and located in strategic positions in order to get stubbornly stuck with structural adhesive.

To ensure the durability of the wood, a waterproof insulator is applied to protect it from any moisture. A resin (a product used on yachts furniture) is applied to the polyester to conclude the finishing, and a high-gloss varnish, giving the wood a deep and wet sheen.

The aluminum pieces: fork, handlebar table, hoops, crown, rest and levers are painted with an Italian ink color effect, and it can be customized in up to 9 colors according to our finishing palette (p. 21).
